Hi Will,

I am not a drug person because I seem to be allergic to them. I tested so for pot and tobacco. Had to quit a good job with the State of AZ due to the low ceilings and lots of smoking co workers. Would literally drag myself home and get in bed every weekend- not a good MO for a single mom.

So nothing in common with you there but I like your attitude. So I signed on to your spot for a little light hearted reading while the world burns.

Namaste.

Gina, kindly subscribe to my stack, using one of the blue buttons placed throughout my first content. It won’t cost you anything. I am not here to make money, I’m comfortably retired and don’t need more money, this is just an amusement for me.. Those blue buttons are for FREE subscriptions. I wish Substack would re-design the PAY and FREE subscription buttons, they are too similar.

Hi Gina,

Thank you for writing. It's a great feeling when a reader confirms "I get you."

I've had a colorful life so I have tons of material to work from. I won't let you down

Lately I am having bad arthritis issues in all my joints, so am a bit impeded from activity. However I have a voice activated keyboard on my phone - can you believe that! I can't.

Stay With Me for more lazy- ass bad attitude!

Arthritis as you may already know is about the immune system. So look at what you are eating as a possible way to mitigate your symptoms. I do everything with plants for my own issues with that. I was an LMT for about 10 years so have fingers that are painful and my back is not young anymore either. Living in this damp climate just makes it worse. When I lived in AZ it was never this bad. And there were many Canadians who wintered in Tucson so if you want check that out. Its a good progressive stronghold in a pretty red state.

Hope your holidays are bright. I am off to the sun in CA and MX tomorrow for a break! Ciao!

Hi!

Gina, very kind of you to proffer advice gained from your own experience with arthritis. I’m only 68, I never expected to be practically a cripple. My arthritis is in my spine and knees and hands. I’m quite demobilized. I am getting medical treatment, the latest being nerve ablation. They isolate the particular nerves carrying pain signals to the brain and they kill those nerves with red hot tiny blades. Truth be told, my confidence is low as I’ve had five rounds of ablation, with zero results.

Today I’ve been taking my mind off of my troubles by working up a concept for my next post. I attack writing with everything already composed in my head, then it just comes out swiftly. Not the agonizing way my hero writer Hemingway worked. He said something like : ‘Writing is easy. You just sit down at a typewriter and open a vein.’ He was such a sarcastic man.

Thanks again for the advice. I may be needin it very soon!
